Tell-A-Vision of Sadness (A Sonnet)
By Anthony Jarvis

I’m afraid my friend, that I must bid farewell
My life has been immaculate and very short
My heart has stopped, call medical personnel
So many things left to see of every sort
With the wave of a hand, my love was taken
All the time we spent staring at each other
It was all short lived because I was mistaken
I forgot the day to pay, I’ll never recover
Bury me in my uncharted backyard
I’ll probably be on the news but I can’t know
My life was hanging by a cable, so hard
It was broken, I was cut off, now I go
Never mind my friend, I’m fine you see
My father paid the price, once again we have TV

(Authors Note: I don’t even watch TV)
